Effective: 24 August 2026
This is FocusLatch's electronic contact point for notices about allegedly illegal content, Community Guideline violations, and moderation decisions. It supplements the report and block controls in the app and is not an emergency service. During controlled testing, response availability is limited and no response time is guaranteed. Public Social must remain disabled unless this route is staffed and operationally verified.
Email [email protected] with subject FocusLatch content notice. A sufficiently precise notice should include:
Do not send passwords, raw invite tokens, private signing keys, full payment-card data, or unrelated personal records. If the in-app report generated a reference, include that reference instead of duplicating sensitive content.
When public Social is enabled, FocusLatch will acknowledge and handle electronically submitted notices as required by applicable law and the operated procedure. During controlled testing, FocusLatch may ask for missing information, preserve narrowly necessary evidence, make content temporarily unavailable, remove it, restrict an account, or take no action; response availability is not guaranteed.
Where required and legally permitted, the notifier and affected member receive the decision and reasons, including the affected content, territorial/scope effect, duration, rule or legal basis, whether automated tools materially contributed, and available appeal routes. FocusLatch does not reveal a reporter's identity to the reported member unless legally required.
Email [email protected] with subject FocusLatch moderation appeal. Include the decision/reference, why it should change, and any concise supporting material. Appeals can challenge removal, non-removal, visibility limits, account restrictions, or a mistaken report outcome. Where the operated procedure and applicable law provide an appeal, it is free of charge and assigned to a different person where practical. Abusive, duplicate, or manifestly unfounded submissions may be restricted after warning.
Authorities may use the same email with subject Authority contact — FocusLatch and include official identity, legal basis, requested action, territorial scope, deadline, and secure response route. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. FocusLatch may notify competent authorities when it becomes aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to life or safety, where legally required.
